Heero X Duo

When it comes to Gundam Wing yaoi, this is one of the fandom's favorite pairings. While they don't have Quatre and Trowa's almost psychic connection, Heero and Duo often have the same kind of gravity between them as Heero and Relena - Duo is the emotional center to Heero's apparently emotionless gravity well, just as Relena is the symbolic innocence that Heero has destroyed and now tries to save.

Like Relena, Heero can't bring himself to kill Duo, even when it is a logical choice. At various times, he's borrowed Duo's Gundam parts, his name, even his identity, and he has no trouble turning to him when he needed help. And Duo always helped him, no matter what kind of stunt he'd pulled before. No surprise that a LOT of fans, including me, wanted to see their relationship as deeper than friendship. (Not to mention that it's hands-down my biggest category).

And it certainly didn't hurt that Bandai and Sunrise kept authorizing promotional material that paired the two together.
