Mobile Suits:
Tallgeese:
This twenty-year-old museum piece was the first military mobile suit, and is the common ancestor of both the Gundams and OZ's own mobile suits. OZ deemed the prototype Tallgeese too expensive to mass-produce and too hard to pilot, so the design was simplified and scaled down to create the standard Leo. As a result, the Tallgeese's specifications are superior to those of most modern mobile suits, and this mothballed prototype is the only thing in OZ's arsenal capable of fighting a Gundam. However, its high acceleration and instability make flying the Tallgeese hazardous for even the best of pilots.
Leo:
The Leo is the standard mobile suit of both the Earth Alliance, and the elite Specials taskforce that serves as a camouflage for OZ. Though unremarkable in every respect, and certainly no match for a Gundam, the Leo is highly adaptable. Numerous variations exist, including a space version, a model armed with shoulder cannons, a high mobility type capable of short-distance flight, and the "early type" which remains in service in China. Usually armed with a 105mm machine gun, the Leo can also use a beam rifle, a heavy bazooka, or a powerful dobergun.
Aries:
Able to transform into a flight mode for aerial travel, this jet-propelled mobile suit is a favorite of OZ pilots. Other than its ability to fly, the Aries is fairly unremarkable. Its usual armament consists of a chain rifle and optional missile pods, which can be stowed on pylons underneath its wings.
Tragos:
A spinoff of the Leo, this squat mobile suit can transform into an agile hovercraft. It usually carries a pair of shoulder-mounted cannons, further increasingly its resemblance to a tank. Though the Tragos might seem to break from OZ's tradition of naming mobile suits after Zodiac signs, its name means "goat" in Greek, making it a substitute for Capricorn.
Cancer:
The least humanoid of OZ's mobile suits, the legless Cancer is effectively a submarine with claws. Its pincers contain torpedo launchers, allowing the Cancer to grapple its foes and then fire its torpedoes at point-blank range.
Pisces:
More humanoid than the Cancer, the aquatic Pisces is endowed with stubby legs and makeshift hands, allowing it to perform manual labor and other non-combat tasks. It can transform into a streamlined, submarine-style cruising mode.
Taurus:
The sleek black Taurus, whose fins and wings are reminiscent of a manta ray, is OZ's next-generation space mobile suit. Fast and maneuverable, it can transform into a streamlined cruising mode, and is designed to carry a powerful beam cannon capable of crippling a Gundam. The Taurus also has a bonus feature known as the mobile doll system.
Vayeate:
The Vayeate is an advanced space mobile suit based on the Taurus, incorporating Gundam technology. Designed purely for offense, it's armed with a devastating beam cannon derived from the Wing Gundam's buster rifle. Unlike the buster rifle, which is limited to three blasts, the Vayeate's beam cannon is powered by an external energy generator attached to the mobile suit's back, allowing it to be fired repeatedly. The Vayeate is meant to operate in tandem with the defensive Mercurius.
Mercurius:
The Mercurius is an advanced space mobile suit based on the Taurus, incorporating Gundam technology. Specializing in defense, it's equipped with a set of "planet defensors," compact force-field generators which can form a defensive barrier around the Mercurius and its offensive partner Vayeate. This defense field is strong enough to deflect attacks even from the Gundams' powerful weaponry. The Mercurius is armed with a small beam gun, and its crash shield generates a large beam blade for warding off close-range attackers.
Virgo:
The AI-manned Virgo "mobile doll" incorporates powerful firepower and defensive technology with gundanium armor, offering protection against other OZ mobile suits. Although incapable of quick maneuvers, its survivability allows it to weather enemy attacks and return a devastating counterattack. Its successor, the Virgo II, resolved the original model's problems with maneuverability and increased both its offensive and defensive capabilities.
Maganac:
The Maganac is a mass-produced mobile suit similar to the Leo, developed by an independent Middle Eastern nation and used exclusively by the forty members of the eponymous Maganac Corps. Many of the Maganac Corps' members also customized their own Maganacs in one way or another, either cosmetically, or in the case of the Corps' squad leaders, with additional armor and weapons. These customizations include a variety of armament - shell-firing rifles, cannons, machine guns, scimitars, beam sabers, and so forth - as well as modified armor and thruster systems. While it's tailored for desert combat, the versatile Maganac can fight in a wide range of terrains, and even in space.
Serpent:
The MMS-01 Serpent, like its Leo predecessor, was a versatile mobile suit capable of being equipped for both space and land combat. Built of the new Neo-Titanium alloy, the Serpent was physically almost as strong as Gundanium and significantly cheaper to produce. Armed with shoulder missile launchers, the Serpent could also carry a variety of hand-carried weapons, such as a bazooka, a large beam cannon or a double-barreled Gatling gun similar to that carried by the XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Kai. Since the Earth Sphere Unified Nation has scrapped all its own mobile suits, the Serpent carries no beam sabers or other anti-mobile suit weapons.
